Thanks for NOTHING!

Behind the scenes I have been working day and night for the past four weeks.  I have had both computers rendering animation for an Alex Jones/Charlie Sheen video contest in which $14,000.00 was the main prize.  I saw all the early entries and based on that KNEW I could blow them away.  I had all my animation done.  I had all my voice over work finished.  All I had to do today was match animation to voice in Ableton Live and render a finished video.  It should have taken no longer than two hours. 

Comedian Dane Cook has a piece where he discusses his hatred for apple flavored jolly rancher candy.  He describes meeting those people who love apple flavored jolly rancher candies after the show in the lobby and he'll be the one stabbing people in the face.  Just look for the person stabbing people... in the face!  That's how I feel right now, only it's not over apple candies but Apple Quicktime Pro not working for me at the last minute, when I'm on the 99 yard line ready to score, when I'm ready to win this thing.  

Did you know that you can scream at computers all day long and they don't hear a damn thing? 

So I have NOTHING to show you and since I obviously did not meet the contest deadlines.  Big L Loser is what I am but I win experience.  I will get to the bottom of what all went wrong, maybe make some calls to Ableton Live and Apple tech support.  When I discover a method that DOES WORK then I will post that in a tutorial on my site so that maybe someone out there like me who uses Carrara, Ableton Live, Quicktime Pro and is into animation will not have to lose out.  I still have all my digital sets saved so I will be able to create a new script and adapt it for Plague of Smiles.  I will also have the opportunity to take what I've done and top that, go farther and I have ideas that are blowing my mind just percolating in the noggin.'  So all is not lost.  To everyone who was waiting to see my work, you lost out just as I lost that $14,000.00. 

1408 Simpsons

    Saturday I went to sleep late and fell through one psychotic dream after another.  The focus of my nightmares seemed to be my room.  Too much stress combined with my brain tumor medicine.  I kept waking up in nightmare dream versions of my own room.  I lost a lot of sleep dreaming.  I surfaced at noon and left around two to catch the bus.
    When I get done with my 911 TRUTH meet up it will be too late to catch the return bus home.  A quick stop at the mall to pick up some reading material for tonight's all-nighter.  Back on the bus. 
    Crossing over the hills that separate Fashion Valley from Hillcrest leaves me feeling noticeably revolted though I am not a sexist, a hater, nor a homophobe.  I am a heterosexual in unfamiliar territory and Hillcrest is what it is.
    The room is packed for Webster Tarpley's presentation.  After an hour and a half of speaking Tarpley fails to get to the point of the meeting.  The talk is all political, a complete dead end waste of time considering that the entire election process is rigged.  Someone needs to inform Mr. Tarpley that there is no real vote since the electronic Diebold voting machines and software have been hacked by the Republi-nazis.  I bail and begin walking, too cheap to hail a cab.
    About an hour and a half later I arrive at the Fashion Valley mall sweating like a pig but glad to see that I am in time for Stephen King's "Room 1408" (see earlier posts for video trailer) starring John Cusack and Samuel L. Jackson.  The story is about a writer who enters a real haunted motel room, which becomes a psychotic nightmare that will not let him escape.  Great stuff that one!  Must have it when it comes out on DVD.
    I leave the theater (but not before snagging the pic below of the Simpson's Movie display) facing six hours until dawn.  Plenty of time to write a blog entry, do some sketches, catch up on some reading.  Tonight's all-night story is part two of The Dark Tower Series by again... Stephen King. 
    There will be buses.  There will be typing.  I will then settle down after a great Sunday adventure in 1408LAND for sweat dreams of the same, assuming of course that American's psychotic-in-chief in Washington D.C. hasn't started WWIII with another false flag operation like the INSIDE JOB that was 911.
     Doh!!!

Taster's Choice Coffee Cup and Burundanga Voting

The  B I G  Idea

"Taster's choice" will appear very soon as the name of a photo album on this blog, probably in the summer, perhaps sooner.  When it appears I'll be displaying one scene each from my screenplay "Burundanga Becomes You."  I'm going to chose one to two storyboards per month.  On gessoed Masonite 24" X 44," which translates when framed into a perfect 16:9 wide-screen ratio, I'm going to compose an oil painting based upon the storyboard with the goal of doing one painting every two weeks.  I have seen oils such as this selling for thousands of dollars in galleries.  Not all 40 storyboards are going to be chosen, only 20 will make the cut.  Once all the oils are finished and dried I will then photograph them and 5 will be chosen to become limited edition prints. 
The storyboards are going to be chosen based upon YOUR votes, comments, and suggestions.  Once the oils are finished and on display it is going to be YOUR votes that pick which ones will go on to become limited edition prints, offset lithography, 300 per edition, signed and numbered with certificate of authenticity.

The final finished and perfected products will most likely be auctioned off on Ebay. 

I am writing this blog entry on the morning of December 21st, 2006.  In the summer, the Taster's Choice photo album will go active and will contain instructions on how to vote and where this page is.  You'll find this page, place your vote by leaving your comment(s), and help make some history.  Look forward to hearing from you in the summer of 2007 when "Coffee Cup The Book" and "Burundanga Becomes You" are ready to purchase and the  B I G  Idea takes hold of America!

Tattoo work and Boo

After months of frustration over my MySpace blog I have made the jump to typepad.  This is my first blog entry.  Tonight I worked on Steve's tattoo.  I scanned in the sketch and it's almost lined out on the computer.  Tomorrow I'll finish the B/W work and then colorize it and with that project out of the way I'll be able to jump into writing Act Two of "Burundanga Becomes You."  I am working up one scene and one work of art per scene at a time.  When finished I'll have 40 storyboards, who knows how much merchandise, and one kick ass screenplay that will be BitPassed onto the Internet.  You can read a free preview here and I appreciate the comments.
